The Harmony of Extremes
Since 2020, we have seen a growing desire from our clients for a "coalition" between the industrial and the rustic. The Lagoon Vista Villa is perhaps the finest expression of this trend. Our challenge was to create a flawless connection between two materials at opposite ends of the spectrum: the cold, raw, exposed concrete and the vibrant, welcoming warmth of natural wood. By integrating high-end Trespa® phenolic panels into the exterior, we added a layer of durability and modern elegance that completes this material dialogue.
Sustainability Through Planning
We believe that high-end homes should not only improve the client’s quality of life but also respect the environment. While we have integrated heat pumps and VMC systems since our very first project, this Villa represents our evolved approach to sustainability. Through meticulous prior study and planning, we implemented a system of photovoltaic and thermal panels that are nearly imperceptible to the eye. This ensures the home is environmentally responsible without ever compromising the clean architectural lines or the structural integrity of the building.
Artisanal Comfort & Partnership
The soul of the Lagoon Vista Villa lies in its details. To balance the "coldness" of the structural concrete, we utilised intricate slated wood designs in the bedrooms and living partitions to provide a sense of deep comfort and sanctuary. These elements are the result of a solid, years-long partnership with our master carpenters. For us, the success of a project depends on these long-standing collaborations, ensuring that the execution of the interior finishes matches the ambition of the exterior architecture.
Seamless Living
The result of this collaboration between client, architect, and builder is a home that feels both monumental and intimate. Large glass spans allow the interior to merge with the Nadadouro landscape, while the interior layout flows naturally between spaces. It is a project that proves that with the right planning and the right partners, technical challenges can be resolved with grace and precision.
