Corten Villa: The Landmark That Defined Our Identity

More than just a signature property, the Corten Villa represents the moment when PM Constructions consolidated its position in the high-end residential sector.

This project symbolised the natural evolution from the individual expertise of our manager, Mr Pascal, to the emergence of a collective and specialised technical team. Whilst previous projects demonstrated our ability to deliver, the Corten Villa was unequivocal proof of our maturity as builders.

The Challenge of Scale and the Synergy of Styles

Taking on the construction of Corten Villa meant raising the bar in terms of rigour. We faced the challenge of building a highly complex structure on a 1,490 m² plot, which required meticulous planning, effective coordination between the various engineering disciplines and finishing trades, rigorous supervision of the works, and seamless coordination of all teams on site.

The architectural concept proposed a subtle dialogue between two seemingly opposing concepts: an industrial aesthetic, raw, assertive and contemporary; and the welcoming atmosphere essential to a family home (“industrial, yet homie”).

Exposed Concrete: Integrated into the interior and exterior design, adding an industrial and modern touch to the spaces.
Corten Steel: Tailor-made for openings and gates, combining sun protection, privacy and a striking appearance that remains durable over time.
Oak and Marble: Elements that bring warmth, texture and sophistication to interior spaces.

Light, Shadow and Precision in Interiors

To step through the front door of Corten Villa is to witness this carefully crafted harmony.

The laser-cut Corten steel sliding panels play a central role in the house’s bioclimatic and aesthetic performance. Far from serving merely an ornamental or privacy function, these screens act as regulators of natural light. Throughout the day, the incidence of light casts dynamic shadows onto the concrete surfaces and kitchen worktops, transforming the interior space into an ever-changing experience.

The vertical circulation stands out for its technical execution: a floating oak staircase, anchored to an exposed concrete wall, creates a striking contrast with a backlit Corten steel interior panel.
Each interior space interacts with the exterior through large floor-to-ceiling glazed openings, ensuring fluidity, abundant light and visual continuity between the interior spaces and the garden.

Privacy and a Leisurely Pace on the Silver Coast

Situated in a peaceful residential area in the Nazaré / Silver Coast region, the villa enjoys a tranquil setting, sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the historic and tourist centre, whilst remaining within easy reach of the coastline

With a gross floor area of 463 m², the outdoor space has been designed to enhance outdoor living in complete privacy:

Dark-tiled swimming pool: It acts as a mirror of water, reflecting the villa’s white, industrial architecture.
Covered Social Area and BBQ: A space dedicated to al fresco dining and socialising, seamlessly integrated into the extensive lawn.
Rooftop and Terrace: Accessible directly from the balconies of the bedrooms on the upper floor, they offer a privileged vantage point over the surrounding landscape.
